What is the legal position on parental self acquired property on the above type of cases. since the marriage itself is not valid as per the Highcourt judgement, whether the girl has any right to ask for property of the parents.

The marital status of a girl, has no role to play, as far as inheritance of the self-acquired property of the parents. The marital status has a bearing in some States only in respect of 'ancestral property'. The daughter or son cannot ask for any share in the self-acquired property of the parents during the life time of the parents. Only if the parents leave the property without making any will, then such a property will go by way of inheritance amongst all the legal heirs of the deceased person. During the life time, nobody has any right to demand any share in the self-earned property of any person.
