Redemption of mortgage land

Sir,
My grandfather bought a agriculture land in 56 , He mortgaged that land in 66 and that land was redeem in 79 the full amount was paid by my father, but the name in land records is of my grandfather,my grand father died few years back, can now my father claim that money or owership of land,with providing bank statement and other written doucement, wittness to prove he paid that money ,kindly advice me on this matter

if you have primary proof, then claim property, grandfather legal heirs who are ?

Thx for ur reply,written statement of my grandfather in his dairy where he write's that amt is paid by my father,n the bank statement which shows amt desposit n withdrawn ,legal heirs my grandfathers children's, my father, my uncle n my aunts

Your father do not get either exclusive ownership or the money back merely on the ground that he had paid the lease amount. All legal heirs of your deceased grand father are entitled to inherit their share as per law of inheritance without giving any preference to your father in any way. Amount of lease was paid just for love and affection of a son towards his father.
