Manipulation of record

Dear Sir/Madam,
A private hospital has done some manipulation in medical records of the patient who has died in that hospital and has given photocopy of it to the family member after making a written request.
Does this manipulation of medical record attract criminal sections?
What the victim should do? Plz suggest.

Like changes in dates, time, and have added a consent form for high risk showing that it is not consented, whereas no signature of us as well as witness/nurse/doctor. And the admission day observation abt the patient. Every form is of there and records was with them and given it after 15 days from written request for it.

You can file for negligence, if the prima-facie case is established for damages.

If you have a plan to sue them for damages
before forum,you are advised to write them
that they have given you copy after making unauthorized manipulations therein ,if possible an FIR should also be lodged where after complaint before FORUM should be filed.

You can also file in consumer court showing that you have been damaged [if you have been i.e. and it can be showed].

In consumer you can get your relief faster as you applied for their services and they didnot deliver well.. Monetary relief is the best way you can hurt such people.
