Transfer of share certificate

My Father owned Property in Gujarat he died. I have submitted All Documents for transfer of property in name of my mother and myself to society
In Nagar Panchayat Records Transfer has been done in name of My Mother and My self
but society says share certificate can be transferred in name of my mother only i cannot be joint holder I asked them to register my nomination but they are not ready to give me copy of nomination acknowledge by them please advice as there are more than 2-3 cases of such type in our society

Serve a legal notice and get the desired results. You can become second shareholder.

Check bye-laws of society, if allow such, issue legal notice as advised by Mr.Makkad.

Joint holding of share certificate can not be prohibited.If bylaws lays so they are strange.Ask them reason of refusal in writing with reference to those rules.Better obtain a succession certificate from court in name of your mother and your self then seek the change ,they would be bound.Consult a local lawyer practicing in co operative societies laws.
