Amendment in ws after over one half years

dear sir,
i have filed a suit for possession in del high court in sep 2010 against my brother who has tresspassed on the property.
all evidences have been filed. i was cross examined on april 19,2012. the next date fixed and last date of cross ex of mine is aug 4,12.
now the def has sought amendment of the ws after over one and a half years citing;-
amendment is required ' to raise a legal plea'.
while we shall oppose it i want your adivice and the meaning in layman terems of
' to raise a legal plea'

What legal plea???you have said several things but not the essentials of his amendment application?
One thing more, for how long you would like to drag the same topic of amendment in several different way??????
You have been already told that it is not the number of years since institution of suit but stage of suit has to be considered.

dear sir,
no repeated query sir.
just asking a simple question.
the def lawyer seeks to amend the ws to
'raise a legal plea'.
that are his words. no mine.
the words 'raise a legal plea i want to understand.
and certainly the situation has changed and hence the query which seems repeated to you .
sir my cr ex is under progress. i was cross examined on april. 19.
their ws is over one and a half years old.
i seek your opinion on their ws amendment app and what is likely the court to say.
if you dont want to answer please do not do so.
giving a response like repeated query does not help me and i do not need it.

To raise a legal question means an objection against suit which shall not require any further evidence but question so raised could be considered purely on the basis of consideration of some law.
