Whether your adoption is challenged by any body?
ashutosh mishra (Expert) 12 July 2012
A few more facts required for consideration of validity of your adoption by your Nani:

Was your Nani a widow and your Nana was not alive at the date of adoption?

Did your Nani had no male son on your adoption?

Was your age below 15 on the date you were adopted?

As regards to registration of adoption deed now it is not possible.

In most of the states it has been optional to register or not to register an adoption deeds. However in UP an adoption deed was made compulsorily registered by an amendment by UP legislature some time in 1975.Check if law in Rajasthan makes registration compulsory, if not then your adoption deed is valid.

your adoption would also be valid if on the date your adoption your Nana was not alive and your age was below 15 and your Nani had no son on the date of adoption and your mother's consent for your giving in adoption to your Nani was taken.
