ALL THE PRINT MEDIA IS COVERED UNDER RNI FOR PERMISSION. WHERE FROM WE CAN GET THE PERMISSION TO LAUNCH ADVERTISEMENT PAPER FOR COMMERCIAL ADS ONLY? UNDER WHICH DEPARTMENT IT IS TO GIVE PERMISSION IF ANY.

If it is a periodical to be issued at fixed intervals, i.e., weekly, fortnighly, mothly, quarterly, etc., you will have to approach the RNI for registration by proposing a suitable unique name for your periodical.

If you propose to include news and comments on marketing & advertisement issues, you may ask for registration. Otherwise, take the word of the RNI and keep that on record before launch of the Ad paper, so that no law and order authority should try to book you at some later stage.

UNDER THE PRB ACT THE NEWSPAPER SHOULD CONTAIN PUBLIC NEWS/ COMMENTS ON PUBLIC NEWS.

ON FURTHER ENQUIRIES I GOT THAT THERE IS NO LAW IN INDIA FOR ADVERTISING PUBLICATION. IT IS CONDUCTED AS PER THE ADVERTISING STANDERDS COUNCIL OF INDIA (ASCI)WHICH INCLUDES SOME ETHICS. OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF THE ASCI IS http://www.ascionline.org/.
