can criminal case be filed against registered company? Is it necessary for complainant to find out name(s) of directors/partners?

As the company is only a statutory person and not actual person so it is necessary to mention the name of that person who is its authorized representative so that the company may be sued in criminal complaint through him.

Criminal complaint can be filed only against the Director who is in direct charge of the company.
However civil remedy lies against the compnay itself.

criminal cases does not lie against any body corporate. it ;lies against natural persons who is described as Mr ____, s/o ______________ caste________, aged _____ r/o ________
