Sir I am working under Dept of Biotechnology, Govt of India. In this office some of the post is on contract basis even though there is creation of post and for the post advertisement is going on. In this regard I want to gather knowledge is that the person so engaged is a retired state employee and he had cross his 65 years also but the Director is still extending his contract period even repeated reminder by his sub ordinate staff. The person in the contract is not even submitted his last pay statement nor his pension statement. At present his is paying a consolidated pay of Rs 35000/- per month. So please tell me what can I do in this regard. I am in the post which can do nothing. but for my knowledge of my seniors I want to get help from your ends. 1. Is there any rule saying that a retired person can be engaged up to the age of 65 or more. 2. How can I move regarding his payment.

When your seniors can well approach this forum, why you are acting as their medium or conduit for them? Let them write what type of problem they actually have about posting of that person on contract?

so the recruiting procedure going on and this is top gap arrangement?
whether you feel some financial regulations are being overlooked by the Director. If that is so then write a complaint to CVC.
