Registration of will

Where do we have to register a will, we stay in Ghatkopar. Mumbai

Can we make 4 equal copies , so that each son gets one ?

What are charges of Registration ?

If you have got office of sub-registrar in Gorkhapur, you can register the will there. You need not make 4 copies. The beneficiaries can apply for the certified copies of the same.

A "Will" can be registered at Sub-registrar office, under whose juridiction the subjected property situated. A "Will" can be registered on Rs 100/- (Non-judicial)stamp paper and registration charges will be 1% or changable by registrar Office. After registration of the "Will" by the person who execute, the registered will and certified copies will be obtained after the death of executor of Will.

Registration of WILL is not compulsory,to know registration charges you may contact with local Sub-Registrar Office,WILL should one in original,you can get certified copy of it after registration.

Will can be executed and registered anywhere. For registration charges you should contact the office of registar and registration is not mandatory. You can get the certified copy of Will after registration.

Yes will can be executed and registered at any place.After registration of will at sub registrar office, apply to obtain certified copy of will.

Only one copy of Will is registered. The others may apply for certified copy for as many number as they want.
