Claim of insurance

(Querist) 25 March 2013 This query is : Resolved 
One of our relative lady is sentenced for 20 years imprisonment for killing her hunband. She could not establish that act was done in self defence because of poor advocates. Now she is on parole. My question is that she is a nominee of husbands lic policies and service benefits of railway. In such case will she able to claim as a nominee to get benefits of her husbands fund service money.
Kindly guide.

She shall not be able to claim as she is found guilty in murdering her husband. This is strictly prohibited under Hindu Succession Act.
