This query is : Resolved
One of my relatives, during the 26th July floods has lost the agreement which proved that he had bought a particular flat in Mumbai. Now that same building is going for a redevelopment. He has his Aadhar card with the same address as his residential address and he has been residing in that flat with his family since 35 years. Will he face any obstacle while procurement of flat after the redevelopment? Kindly reply. Thank you

Why No Steps had been taken for the Lost Documents. At Least Now consult a Local Good Advocate and Complete the Formalities like Filing of Police Complaint,Publishing in News Paper,Obtaining Copy of Document,Filing in Court etc.Once you file the Case in Court the Court will Cross Verify the Required Persons and Finally would Endorse the Copy Document and Then On wards only the Court Endorsed Copy will be the Valid Document and the Lost one will be nullified.

For registered document, copy can be received from registrar office. Lodge police complaint and news paper ad for the lost document and keep all other proofs regarding property with you. Get in touch with a local lawyer and discuss by showing all the documents with you.

Lost documents does not yield anything against the rights over the property.
The lost documents might be the registered one. If it is so just get the sertified copy and proceed further with aid of some one advocate.
