destroying things when the owner is away

Sir, a mother who is a widow has kept all her valuable things including gold and costly sarees were kept at her own house and was staying with her daughter .her son and daughter in law was staying at her house. Both of them are of a criminal minded persons and so the mother stayed away for her safety.now her daughter in law has burnt all sarees and destroyed many things worth around 2 lakhs .what should be done by the mother at this moment.can she ask them to move out from her house and also ask compensation or should file a police complaint

If mother is owner of house she can order them to get last. She can file police complaint. She can file suit for compensation and can file complaint under old persons protection laws and domestic violence Act.
