as per the rules if your income is below 1,60,000, you need not pay the tax.

inspite of the same why do you want to pay tax?

Kindly mention the reason why you want to pay tax

Yes you can declare income from other sources alongwith with your income Rs 1,60,000/-as you said and pay Income-Tax according to Income-Tax slab.

If you want to pay a little tax just to file return of income, there is no need to spend any money. You can file your return of income without any taxable income also.

Still if you want to add to national treasury, nothing stops you from showing any income and pay tax on same. You can show as much income as you wish from other sources and pay tax on your returned income.

Dont declare ficticious income u/h other sources just for the sake of paying tax. Declare only that income which is actually earned by you or accrued to you.
