Transfer of father property died without will

(Querist) 16 October 2013 This query is : Resolved
Please share your expert view as my father has left a residential property in sector gamma of Greater Noida without any will. I have 4 sisters (3 of them are married) and mother . Now my mother wants the property to be sold and for this she want the same to be in my name. so can you tell me how to start and what all documents and procedure would be required .
If any one familiar with Greater Noida property transfer laws please be specific with where to go and what is to be done and expected cost.
I also have heard about succession certificate . what is this all about and how and where to get the same.

Thanks in advance and waiting in anticipation.

EITHER APPLY FOR SUCCESSION CERTIFICATE OR EXECUTE A MUTUAL PARTITION DEED.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 17 October 2013
Obtain a legal heir ship letter from tehsildar office and get the property transferred and mutated in the names of all legal heirs. all jointly can sell the property or gift / relinquishment deed can be executed by others in your favor and in that case you can sell the property yourself only.

I do endorse the advice of Rajender K Goyal.
