Whether your grandpa is alive, has he left any will if not alive ? Whether the property was transferred in the name of your maternal uncle before selling, if yes, how?

State full facts. May contact local lawyer and show him all the documents.

YES YOU CAN CLAIM
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 20 December 2013
Upon the death of your grandpa whether the the title to the property was open, i.e., whether your grandfather died intestate, then his legal heirs have right over the properties in respect of their shares, here it is your maternal uncle, so only your mother has a right over the property with regard to her share out of her father's property, if your mother is not alive, then as your mother's legal heirs, her children and husband can claim a share equally out of her share in the property. Please understand your status and then proceed with the legal actions as advised above by other experts.
