say no to marriag after engagement

sir,My sister got engaged with one person legally . but now that person refuse to marriage.i know that my sister is not guilty.but that person did not give any exact reason of his no. when we go to meetings at his houses according to decide.that person did not atten d the meeting.he always avoid to face us.finali we decided to cancel marriage.but we think that person should give punishment what can do? please tell me

normally such refusals are there due to :-

(i) match not found suitable.

(ii) dowry not promised as per expectation.

Search other Match. Tell your sister to get into some gainful employment or study further and get a Job. Financial independence is more important than Marriage.

Forget anger. Just think had that guy had married your sister what your sister might have faced after marriage. If your sister is professional qualified put her in some employment or self employment.Encourage her to move ahead in life. FIND ANOTHER SUITABLE boy or allow her to find that herself. You may start false litigation against the boy on so many flimsy ground but that will not give you mental peace.
