Want to elope and marry with my gf.

sir i m from jammu. we both are 22 years old and are in relation from 6 years.Now that her parents are forcing her to marry and i m just 22 so my parents dont have any plan for my marriage and her parents will not wait for 2 more years.Now i m jobless n preparing for some exams.But i dont want to lose her thats why we have decided that we will marry secretely and if they will not agree we will elope. SIR i want ur help to please guide me how to get married in secret manner in jammu and then to elope legally. I have read that we can go to police station and note that in their daily diary about being eloping and also we can get NOC certificate from both of us.Sir pls help me i m in great trouble i dont know what to do...

Mr. Pawan elope is not correct. You are not fully matured I think though you are majors. If you elope how you will give to your GF minimum requirements without any job. don't think that it is easy. If you really want to marry her, first talk with your parents and if they agree, they will convince the parents of your gf. take the help of some well wishers of both families.

Meet the concerned Registrar and comply the formalities and get your marriage Registered and normally it would take 30 days please.

Sir as i m from jammu special marriage act doesn't apply here could u pls tell me the process of court marriage in j&k??

Do you profess different religion for taking shelter of Special Marriage Act, which is not applicable in the State of J & K ?
If so, consult a local lawyer for better guidance, if both of you have decided to marry even against the wishes of your parents, which may result into ....... ??? ?
Same story has been posted hereinabove, which is absurd, ridiculous and stupidity.

The most adventurous or those who could afford it could move out of State to get their Marriage Registered.. In J&K Law takes a back seat when it comes to inter- caste or inter- faith marriages.Love sick couples from different faith in J&K lament the absence of Special Marriage Act in the State.
