Guest (Querist) 19 August 2010 This query is : Resolved
In Delhi the Govt.is not giving a legal status to both of these very old and much prevalent businesses in the society ,How to influence the Govt.to authorize both of these two businesses ?

1. Form an NGO and take up PIL in public interest.

If such things were to be legalised why not legalize adultery, bigamy, gambling, bottle-legging and all other like too.... there would be no necessity of law, lawyers or courts, only the law of the jungle will prevail and as rightly said the cycle of life will be complete viz going back to the dark ages from a civilized world.

I do agree with the learned members answers. There is no difference between legalized and illegality, everything is going on.

I agree with Vishal sir. What is the advantage to legalize the offences

I completely agreed with my friend Advocate.Rajeev's opinion, who is always practical. No need for legalization as it is going on in full swing, and law is there like a Christmas and Durga Puja decorations only.See, we also have to think about the law enforcing agency, once legalized it will be a great disadvantage for them, so let us think in the interest of all the stakeholders and let it thrive on as if it is illegal, though in spirit it is legalized.

I fully endorse the view of Mr.Vishal. Laws can never put down crimes fully and wipe out all the crimes from the society. They are there only to prevent the commission of such crimes and reduce the number of crimes. So,just because there is a law,we cannot take it for granted that there will be no crime. It will not proper to make such a presumption. There are laws for punishing so many offences. Have they in any way washed out such crimes. Therefore crimes like prostitution can never be stopped by any amount of enforcement since it is the natural human instinct present in every male and female which plays an important role in such matters. It can be put an end to only when some invention is made to deprive the human beings of sexual instincts. Otherwise it is impossible and no useful purpose would be served by discussing on such matters any further.
