This is a general problem we face many times specially while journey, and avoid it later.
But if you wants to take action, complaint to marketing officer or administrative officers as SDM or DM may be filed.

Call the customer care number printed on the bottle and lodge a complaint. Without documentary evidence i.e., document to show you purchased the bottle in that resturant, you cannot file a consumer case. You also require wittnesses for that. If you got wittness then you can try for the consumer complaint.

now no remedy.
no evidence.
If you so desire, write to the Company, and they will send you one bottle free, with their apology, and guide you to inform them immediately. A toll free number is always printed, and you can dial customer care. They usually offer you a pack on the spot. This is my personal experience. The Co ask no question, no proof.

Hi
HAPPY HOLI to all of you there !
I thank you all for 'sharing your experience'.I add,it will not be hypothetiocal to say that Consumer Affairs Departments of all the respective state issue 'rate lists' of various commodities.Like e.g. regarding some 'starred hotels/restaurants,the cost of soft drink plus service charges.Due to malpractices or for the purpose of this write-up, unlawful trade practices, shopkeepers on roadsides or NHs ask for higher price saying that he is selling 'chilled' bottle so extra charges. An ordinary customer, more if he is an outsider, cannot afford to have a tiff or fight with him.But a customer paying money must be given due respect as he pays for what he buys or hires.
Do you suggest any changes in CPA or other enactment.
There are many others Acts.Even there is no Consumer Complaints Officer or such establishment which could penalise the unscrupulous shopkeepers or sellers etc.Is there no need of such an establishment.Indeed this will evoke an academic issue but it is for general public importance.I wish we could contribute something substantial & different to the society also, which includes our children, relatives, friends & companions.
