Fraud in sale of land

Hi Sir,
We have made an agreement with the owner of land to purchase the land.But after paying the token money we found that the party is not the original owner of the land.We have there false voters card and ration card and also the agreement but the forge owners have gone underground .
Please advise us whtether we have to go to the police or file a case in court for same....

got to the police and file a complaint for fraud.
You can approach the court directly if the police fails to take any action.

you cn aissue legal notice cvalling upon buyer to refund the token money . file police complaint for cheating , fabrication of documents etc.

Lodge complaint immediately at concern police station without any delay.

also issue legal notice to recover money.
