Just wanted to know whether he can become director of any patpedhi.
What is the legal position?

Querist may pl tell the meaning of "Patpedhi" director for our information. Mr. Shroff has not explained the meaning while expressing his opinion.

Pat pedhi means a credit co-opetative society registered under the Co-eprative Societies Act, 1981 having its objectives as leding and accepting deposits from its members.
Just wanted to know what are things the director need to be checked before accpeting appoitment as director of credit co-operative society, especially where the credit co-op society is newly taken over by the another co-operative society.
Are there any rules for maximum remuneration?
