I SOLD MY HOUSE IN AHMEDABAD TO A ESTATE AGENT-MOHIT,BUT THE CHEQUE RECEIVED BY ME WAS FROM HIS LENDER.MOHIT OWED MONEY TO HIM.
AM I IN ANY KIND OF THREAT????

has the cheque been honoured ? you have already give posession on sale of flat to buyer . you ought to have insisted that buyer issue cheque . if the cheque has been issued for and on behalf of the buyer then you may not have any problem . always engage a lawyer in such transactions

Your Receipt must show Cheque No. and recd by you for and on behalf of Estate Agent. Let both sign it.
Agent must be trf it on lendename , be careful at the time of regn/ Agr

possession not yet given ,and yes cheques are honoured...it means dat i have to take an agreemnet from estate agent with his lender rite??

take a letter from estate agent that he is making payment for and on behalf of buyer . it should be signed by estate agent and buyer .
