File cheating case against a friend

Hi,

I used my credit card to buy laptop for a friend on EMI. Now My friend isn't paying me back. He isn't answering my phone. Also I'm unable to catch him as he's in a different state. Can i file a complaint against him. Or can i at least claim the laptop as it was billed on my name.

Yes, you better claim for laptop since it is bought by your card.
You should file criminal case for breach of trust u/s 406 IPC.
