If it is self earned and self acquired you can sell your share anytime during your lifetime.
Before you proceed show the papers of the property and matrimonial dispute to your lawyer and act as per the remedies suggested by your lawyer.

The share of property on your name held in joint possession will be treated as your own property which can be disposed by you in any manner. Your wife cannot object to this. In DV case if she has asked for residential protection, she may be, upon a court order, be accommodated in a rented house too. However, if you want to gift your share of property to your brother, she cannot stop you from doing so nor the court can order an injunction on those lines.

but lawyer says it is flat purchase by u before marrige but it is her metrononial home so u cannot force to vacat flat and accept alternate acomodation.
