You should send notice to the dealer, and the concerned oil company. Also write to the distt. administration, food and supply department of the district. In case of need, file consumer complaint.
We should always check the expiry date of the LPG cylinder on receipt. An expired (old) cylinder is risky due to possibility of valve leakage and other risks.
On LPG cylinder Letter A stands for January to March; B covers April to June; C stands for July to September and D connotes the time period of October – December. So if the characters on the vertical stay plates carry the date ‘A – 07′, it means the expiry date of the cylinder was March 2007.

It is Note Worthy that every Cylinder has a Due Date for statuatory Testing in which it is checked for Defects.the date is mentioned on one of the three iron plates that supports the Cylinder from the above.10 out of 100 cylinders are supplied to Consumers after Expiry date.Since Good Percentage of people do not know about the Facts that even Cylinder have Expiry dates it goes un noticed. It will be a very Valid Case.

Sorry, I had misunderstood the query.
When it was delivered and what is the period indicated in the cylinder.
What is mentioned is not the period of expiry, but when the cylinder is due for testing.
