is it compulsory to fill up the forms given in the domestic violence Act to make a complaint of domestic viiolence or i can also submit a petition through an advocate

Yes it is mandatory to fill up the forms given in the DV act.

It depends and varies from each state. In West Bengal no such filling up of Form is required.

Aggrieved person can also give complaint by writing in white paper to the protecion Officer.

u can directly file ur complaint through ur advocate in relivent court.

i thing it is not mandatory. the form is prescribed only to enable the party, what material is required to put before the authority.
