(Querist) 11 December 2010 This query is : Resolved
a person has duel citizenship with USA and India died at USA as intestate, how his assets will share or who are his legal heirs
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 11 December 2010
For the properties in India, a person's legal heirs will remain legal heirs whatever may be his nationality. Having dual citizenship will not bring any change in the legal heirs.
If the deceased is a male, then to start with his first class heirs are his wife, son(s), daughter(s) etc.
M.Sheik Mohammed Ali (Expert) 13 December 2010
