You can get the marriage registered under Hindu Marriage Act if you are Hindu for which no proofs of marriage are required. You need to furnish only residential and age proof.

Recently I visited Ghaziabad Court to Register my Marriage. But the lawyer says You need to get a certificate from any gazetted officer/ SSP / CMO to certify your marriage first.
Than it will go to marriage registrar.
also he is asking for Rs. 3000/- for the entire process.
