Can an advocate continue to work as insurance agent after enrolment; or take a new one while practising? I am asking this query because a newly enrolled advocate need to do his insurance agent's job on part-time basis till he settles in his practice. Learned Experts' advice on this would be most welcome, in that if it is not permissible, new advocates will refrain from doing insurance business even on part time basis; and if it is permissible, they have nothing to fear about professional misconduct. Also, can advocate-cum-CA/CS or CA/CS-cum-advocate discharge his both the functions lawfully? Kindly advise.
