Sir my father came from chapra bihar to rourkela odisha, now its almost more than 25 years and i have voters i card, ration card, land pass book from rourkela(RI). I want to issue a OBC certificate (My name is ### Shah (title)). Now the problem is that may land passbook contains my caste written as saha(Ananya (written in oriya)) and permanent address as chapra, bihar. In bihar we belong to "teli" community, and during the time my father purchased the land, the sale deed has caste written as "teli", further how can i get a OBC certificate, and please guide me what to do and how to proceed, your advice will be appreciated ;-)

Dear Shah,
Your family is migrated from Bihar to Odisha. If you required a OBC certificate first of all if your father has taken education in Bihhar, you obtained his school leaving certificate from Chapra (Bihar). In school leaving certificate caste is mentioned. After obtaining his school leaving certificate, better apply to Chapra Sub-divisional officer for issue of caste certificate first. On that basis, you will get first caste certificate of caste "teli" you belongs. Later on if you first confirm in rourkela (Odisha) whether "teli" is considered as OBC or not, because every state have a different list of OBC caste. If not, then again on basis of your caste certificate obtained from Bihare state itself, you apply to Dist Collector Chapra for issuance of OBC certificate. You have a sale deed in which caste is mentioned will also suffice a strong proof for your caste.
