Dear experts kindly advice

an government body issued a cheque infavour of my client. and the same is dishonoured. can i directly sent notice u/s 138 and initiate the process or is there any other process against cheque bounce case in case of state.

There is a difference between the Government (office) and a Government body. Please state clearly whether the cheque was issued by a Government office or any company or corporation of the Government.

its a goverment corporation under the name and style "Devarajurs Development for Backward class Nigam"

You can send notice directly in the name of the Managing Director of the Nigam.
