Delay in fir

In false case delay of FIR is shown.
False crime of beating happend 4 months back and FIR is done after 2 months of false crime date via 156(3).

How to take benefit of delay in false FIR?

if the cause shown for delay is reasonable it is not be considered as fatel for the prosecution. If the delay is unreasonable it will be considerd as good defense.
