School leaving certificate unavailable

I applied for a School Leaving Certificate for my father who attended school 50 years back. However the school wasnt able to recover his school records since they dont have any. I dont have any documents from my end too.
In such a case can I submit an affidavit to the school with all the details of my father attending that school in those years and based on it request the school authorities to issue me a School Leaving Certificate?

yes you canfurnish your affidavit and get affidavit from your class mates too . along with your details and all

You are son of your father, how can you provide such affidavit? Better to obtain certificate of 1-2 of his companion classmates or age old persons with your application so that school may believe and may do the needful, however, without any documentary evidence, school legally cannot issue such certificate.
