dear sir,
my name is venkateswarlu, Hyderabad.
i executed a sale deed and GPA for hand loan i paid back amount to the person. he promised to cancel the registered GPA the next day and he did not give me receipt for amount i paid. but i have witness with whom i went to pay the money. he is ready to give witness. since then the person is evading to come to registration office to cancel the GPA. now he is threatening to give me notice to vacate my flat. it is a irrevocable GPA. what options left for me. to get it cancelled. pl advice me i am in lot of mental tension. it will be grateful to you. thanks to lawyers club India for this facility.

at time of repayment you ought to have insisted on cancellation of GPA . in addition you dont have any proof of payment made . appears you made payment in cash .

anyhow contact a local lawyer . show him the documents executed by you . issue notice to power of attorney holder for revocation of power of attorney as full payment has been made .

the problem with litigants is at time of executing documents they try to save money on legal fees . only when they have no other option do they remember lawyers .
