Hello,
Can we take legal action against family (father's mother)if they are denying us property?
This property was given to my grandmother by my late grandfather and it's now on her name. Do we have a right to claim?
Will a legal notice move things forward?

if the property is self acquired property of your late grand father,he has absolute legal right to bestow the property on your grand mother.
if that be so,you may confirm if the property was regd.in her name in sro and mutated in her name in revenue records.

how was property given to grand mother . was it by will ? or by gift? if so your grand mother would be absolute owner of property . you cannot claim any share in said property as grand son

A property in the hands of women becomes absolutely her own property. With the given situation, it appears that the property transferred by your grandfather to your grandmother is his self acquired or own property. If yes, your grandmother has full rights to dispose it in any manner she wishes to. She may even deny you any share in it, you cannot claim any share legally from her.
