Farmers grandson claiming land

We bought our land in 1988 and did NA but after few years we winded up our company and now the deceased farmers grandson is claiming the land since we didnt use it.
Need urgent legal advise on this. Also we sold our land this year and now it belongs to someone else but he keeps harassing us asking us to give a share in the money we got by selling it off.

company can afford legal fees . any how refuse to pay . let him file case if he so desires

Case can be filed even on flimsy grounds, you can not stop him, defend the case on merits if filed against the co.

If what you say is taken to be true, you can challenge his case, he may not be able to prove and the suit can be dismissed too.

When you bought land in 1988, you must have taken all the appropriate legal steps like land registration( in your co. name/your name ) @sro ,mutation in revenue records, paper ad. for public notice etc...
For last 25 years , no person has raised any issue /dispute about the land ,shows that the land genuinely belongs to you/your company.
so what for you are afraid now?
As advised by LCI experts above,let the other party file a case, nothing can be proved and his suit may also be dismissed.
