Change in birth certificate

(Querist) 19 February 2015 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

My Birth Certificate was issued by Municipal Corporation Of Greater Bombay in 1977 and it shows parents name as "Dakshaben" and "Tarunkumar" but now I want to change it to "Dasksha" and "Tarun" for some reason.
I also want to update address mentioned in my Birth Certificate.
Kindly guide me on how to get the changes done.

Thanks and regards,
Devang

"Daksha" and "Dakshaben' are one and thesame: so is "Tarun" and "Tarunkumar". All attempts in making the changes is a trivial pursuit.

A waste exercise if you want to follow such issues. Name in the birth certificate cannot be changed be that of yours or your parents. As far as the address in the birth certificate, it is not very significant that you need to update the same with latest one. You seem to post an academic query.

No need to update the address.

For changes in birth certificate you can apply to the concerned registrar with an affidavit, requisite fee and other required documents.
As proof you can submit marriage certificate of your parents.
