Sir I want to know that is there any legal or special status of a counsel in the court and are they judicial officer ?

Please state your real problems, if any.
rajan chopra (Querist) 04 November 2015
Sir recently in a case proceedings when I prayed the court that the counsel appearing on behalf of the defendant does not has authority to appear as the defendant has denied his signature on vakalatnama filed by the counsel then the Judge said that advocates are court officers and why the counsel will appear on behalf of any party if he is not authorised to appear by the party. That is why I asked this question.

judge is right that advocates are officers of court.
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 07 November 2015
I agree with expert Mr. RK Nanda to the extent that the counsel is one of the officer of the court when s/he is authorised by his/her client by executing vakalatnama, otherwise no status.
