It appears that you have initiated 498A case.
If that is so what do you mean by report as only charge sheet is filed in such cases.
If by DV you mean to say case under PWDV Act then police has no role to play.

You are mixing up two different issues/ cases of complaint of domestic violence and ______(subject not mentioned by you for the application to SSP- presumably complaint for dowery harashment).

I fully agree with expert advise of Mr. Devajyoti Barman qua complaint u/s 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, wherein police has no role and the complaint is to be proceeded by area Magistrate.

Consult your lawyer/tutor. Prima faice it is an academic query.
