Hi im born christain bt nw converted to hindu im in love wit my mother's sister's son (his father is not realtive to us) he was hindu and nw converted to christain.our parents are against us since 5yrs the problem continous.after facing my problem we did register marriage it comes us hindu marriage..even then the priblem is the same if our parents appeal to court this marriage will b a void,i understand.but nw we r in the idea of converting to muslism.tis is the last chance for us to live.else shld definitely sucide.i cnt live witout him!pls anyone reply

Hi sudhirkumar as u tld im heading for trouble..even if we both converted to muslim will we face problm in police station if complaint given on us ?pls reply

No criminal or civil action lies for an unlawful marriage within prohibited degree. The real problem would be that your relationship would not have the sanction of law and hence, you cannot avail of the status of a wife, if some trouble arises within the relationship, in future. However, the children born would not be considered illegitimate.

As at the time of marriage the groom was not hindu, then how did the marriage got registered under Hindu marriage act?

As U would have understood by now the religious marriage acts are meant for people who profess the respective religion only on the date of marriage .So U better be guided by this principle.

In both of us certificates it was hindu practising religion is different(his mum christain c.s.i) (my mum is christain r.c).if we both converted to muslim will we face problm in police station if complaint given on us ?pls reply

1. You will have to agree India has a partriachal family system, whereas you are mentioning regarding the religion professed by mothers, how it is concerned with your marriage?
2. You have stated that you were Christian got converted into Hinduism whereas your boyfriend was Hindu got converted and adopted christianity, what a good story you have cooked up?
3. After having relationship for 5 years with your cousin you intend to convert and adopt Muslim faith for getting married for which both the families donot agree; what is this story?
4. Consult with a local lawyer and close this thread.

Thank you DrJ c Vashista! However it wasnt story i ve the proof of my name angel.A in my birth certificate (has been converted to saranya sa in panruti taluka gazzette later)overall there is no law and order to follow the religion which is in the certificate.and practsing christanity is not restriced for the people whose certificates r mentioned as hindu.there is no religion to heart.bahavatgita,the bible,the quran tells god is one.also converting to muslim does means that i should keep fulstop to hindism and christainity BY HEART.our marriage comes under hindu marriage.since it a void one.it has nw been a nesscity to convert to muslim inorder to live alone ourself separated from the family.i dint ask whether my family will agree if we convert to muslim.religion is that showing the appearance/behaviour.appearnce for all in a single word is humans.thank you.
