Lawyer service charges

HOW much maximum amount can an lawyer may charge as fee for suit of money recover of RS 20,000 .Though lawyer fee varies according to lawyer experience & litigation invoved in that particular case for recovery money suit.JUST FOR BASC IDEA can any body TELL ME MAX AMOUNT CAN LAWYER CHARGE HIS FEE FOR SUIT FOR RECOVERY OF MONEY RS 20,000 & ALSO TELL MINIMUM FEE HE CAN CHARGE.PLZ tell appx

for recovery of rs 20,000 lawyer can charge you 15,000 for drafting and filing . it is not the amountof recovery but the efforts tahat are required for drafting , filing that counts

Lawyer's fee doesnot only include litigation charges but also include fee for studying your case, devoting time for discussing it again and again with you, drafting, contesting entire case irrespective of time involved, attending to your repeated queries and doubts and watching your interest always.

Further, legal fee is always settled as per negotiation between the client and his counsel and no standard rule can apply so u cannot take and ask it as if it is the MRP of any product. I believe you would have also discussed it before engaging his services. If not, then cooperate with him as he knows worth of his services more than you.
