Society bye laws

(Querist) 10 August 2014 This query is : Resolved
In a recent article in times of India ( 2nd Aug, Mumbai edition) and in the afternoon news paper there was an article wherein it was contested that an associate members can't be part of managing committee or office bearer. It states that only 1st name holder on the share certificate is eligible while all the housing societies has been following incorrect practise.

However model bye laws says something else. Can you please throw some light?

Biswajit.
