Dear Sir ,

I want to change my name through Gazzate . Presently i am working in mumbai from last 6 years .But my native place is Andhra Pradesh .

At which place i can request for name change and what is procedure.

Better do it from your native place. Meet a local lawyer there who would make you know the whole procedure.

change of name has to be published in 2 local newspapers and in official gazette . if you are residing in mumbai you can change your name in Mumbai

You are working hence supposed to be living in Mumbai from the last 6 years, you can complete the formalities in Mumbai.

The proposed action for changing your name can be taken anywhere you wish to do it so more so, it would be better in the place where you are very familiar and would like you to be called on the new name.
