displinary action against government employee

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 21 October 2015 This query is : Resolved
I have been imposed recorded warning in a displinary action against me. In case of my promotion will it cause any delay or denial of promotion to higher level in officers HAG Grade from SAG Grade.
Guest (Expert) 21 October 2015
No effect of recordable warning in promotion case. Warning is not a statutory punishment, may that be recordable or not.
kavksatyanarayana (Expert) 21 October 2015
@author, recorded punishment even it is a minor one, that recorded punishment will be in force up to one year from the date of issue of the punishment orders.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 22 October 2015
It is not even a penalty
P. Venu (Expert) 22 October 2015
Is it a warning or a censure?
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 22 October 2015
Depends on institution rules, in some institutions it has effect of one year while in some departments it is not counted. Refer your institution rules.
K.S.Srinivas (Expert) 23 October 2015
Warning is not a punishment. Hence it will not affect your promotion to the higher level.

@Anonymous,
Although we donot entertain/advise an anonymous author, let us know whether it is a "red" or "black" ink entry? Undoubtedly "red" ink entry shall have a bearing on promotion especially during the year of award.
