The official of Municipal Council Alter the Built up area (from 813 Sq Ft to 1600Sq.ft.) by filing new form with duplicate signature of my client & because of that my client had paid more property taxI lodged the report but police said that the Chief Officer have powers to take Action ?
The CO did not take any action on those employee I also filed the complaint to District Collector, the Collector forwarded my complaint to the CO for necessary action but he didn’t take yet …What shall I have to do ?
Whether to make complaint case
if yes pls provide provision with case laws

Please approach the Police station having jurisdiction to take criminal action against the municipal official for forgery and tampering of records as also against CO for shielding the accused.

U may approach the municipal/civil court having jurisdiction & apply for joint measurements & set the records straight , once & for all.Your documents should prove your case.
In my view lodging a criminal case only is not a viable option as by the time the case is decided, the municipality may slap tax & penalty based on the later assessment & U may be visited by other pernicious consequences for failure/suppression of facts etc.
