Whether attestation of an agreemetn by NotaRY Public is mandatory in India?

Whether an agreement (tenancy) duly stamped but not notarised can be produced in evidence?

1. There is no mandatory to notarize the agreement in India. Even Notary Act does not specified the same.

2. You can produce the rental agreement duly executed on the stamp paper as an evidence. Accordingly to me if your tenancy agreement tenure more than 11 months should be registered, otherwise it is not valid and cannot be considered as an evidence in the eye of law.
