Telecom Service Provider

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 16 January 2011 This query is : Resolved
Hi All

I need some help with regard to a service provider bill payment issue.

Last Aug I re-located from Blore to Kolkata and have duly asked my service provider for disconnection of services that I was using in Blore. I have a reference number from the Call center of the aforesaid Service Provider in this regard. Now this month they have contacted me thru my email asking me to pay off a huge amount of outstanding bill, else, they will go for a legal action.

How can I save myself from such a situation.

If you did not apply for disconnection even after leaving Bangalore then you are liable to pay the minimum charges till such request. But if it appears that even after such requests the service provider did not do anything to disconnect the line and continue to charge you then the relief lies against it. Show the case details.

When you applied for dis connection?

If you have properly applied for the disconnection of your services and you have proof for the same, you need not pay the bill amount, which is beyond the date mentioned in your letter.
