There are two aspects and as S.Ganesan Sir said marriage is not registered in courts. What u can do is either make a registered marriage or register your marriage with Marriage Registrar, i.e Either marry by way of conventional marraiges by performing rites and rituals and register before Registrar or the marriage itself is solemnised at Registrar Office by way of registering it.

Dear author your query showing your innocency about law.. First one, the marriage can't be register before court of law. The second one, i am something not agree with mr.laxman. As per law the marriage registrar can register a legal marriage.. Never he can solemnized a marriage in registrar office.. Our cinema peoples showing that in some one situation like a marriage will be solemnized in registrar office.
