Probation period of aided college librarian

(Querist) 09 September 2011 This query is : Resolved
I am working as a Librarian in Government Aided College and also more than 20 years served as a non-teaching staff in another aided college in the same region. I have also finished two years probation period in non-teaching position in the previous college. I have also applied through proper channel by previous management. Kindly provide whether probation period for two years applied for Librarian post in new college which also managed by H.R. & C.E Department, Government of Tamilnadu.

That depends on the service conditions from organisation to organisation. Any new organisation you join has the right to observe your capability, capacity and efficiency to perform in the organisation before the management decides to confirm you on the post. It has nothing to do with your work in any previous organisation you served.

YES! Mr. Dhingra has rightly opined.

Previous organization probation period or continuous service would not help in this new organization. You shall have to complete probation afresh as per your terms and conditions agreed by you.

Only when the same service book is maintained in the new service also, it is treated as continuation of service.

If you resign from any post and join a new post, it is not a continuation of service.
